Fordham Glen Apartments Management,
I am writing in regards to a new parking/towing policy to be in effect starting April at the Fordham Glen community. I have been a resident for approximately one year now and have enjoyed the current policy of not having a watchdog nor any fears of my car, my family’s car, nor any visitor’s cars being towed. I have not noticed a shortage of parking spaces at any time or day or year. The laissez-faire parking attracted me to the Fordham Glen community. I rented at other communities in the past who were worst in their policies. They contracted out a third-party towing firm to enforce these rules. I encourage you NOT to do that. That promotes fear among residents and their visitors, and I will be leaving the community if that is the case. It is also an inconvenience for residents to have to obtain visitor parking stickers for their guests, especially for 2 days of parking. I am asking that you reconsider the policy and possibly extend the threat of towing from two days to two weeks or eliminate the policy.
Sincerely,
Kathleen E. Williams
