Me, Myself, and I

memories
I'm here in Carmel, IN typing on my laptop connected to the Internet. My desktop and office supplies are still in boxes and probably will be until later this weekend, I hope.

I'm currently healthy. I'm hoping I don't get the seasonal flu. I've been taking my vitamins and allergy medications. I have NOT been exercising, but I plan to go to my gym this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There is a nice elliptical machine in the 24/7 fitness center at the club house that I would like to use. I need to improve my circulation. I keep talking the talk to myself this week and not following through!

I just had a little bit of haagen-das chocolate ice cream and happiness. I'm very warm and cozy, the heat is working fine and I look forward to sleeping well tonight and waking up early in the morning.

Tonight I made some lemon garlic chicken and a baked potatoe with butter and sour creme. I watched part of this movie called:

"Raisin in the Sun"

What happens to a dream deferred? / Does it dry up / like a raisin in the sun?/ Or does it explode? - Langston Hughes

I felt like a raisin in the sun while living in the apartment in Glendale Heights, IL.. *cringe*

I don't want to be reminded of my life there. My existence and time is here and now in my new townhouse apartment in Carmel, IN

This evening someone knocked at my door. I looked through the peephole and saw a man outside holding some kind of papers. I asked him who he was. He didn't give me a clear answer. I asked him who he was looking for. I did the right thing by not opening my door to a strange man outside. He knocked on a few other doors. He said he was not solicitating..

10:30 pm, it is almost my bedtime. I have been getting up at 6 am. I have to be at work at 8 am. I live 2 minutes away from work :)

What else is going on? My cat Dana is feeling better. I had to take him to emergency room this Sunday in Indianapolis. He kept going to the bathroom every 10 minutes and throwing up. I called a local vet and he thought it might be urinary blockage, so I ended up not going to the local vet becaise if the cat really did have that he would need surgery in a 24 hr emergency clinic, so I took my grey tabby to that instead. $150 for piece of mind, and medicine to help a sick and nervous kitty. I actually gave both cats the pain and urinary track infection medicine. They've really calmed down and adjusted to their new surroundings. I think the medicine helped, seriously. The cats were constantly meowing and acting nervously when I first moved them.

I have to do something about getting new vehicle plates so I can stop being a target of indiana police! I stick out.. illinois plates in indiana. Plus I need to get a new drivers license. This sucks. I don't like bueraucracy

what else... it seems like i have been starting into a morning routine.. i just need to put working out at the apartment fitness center into my evening routine...

well it is bedtime. Goodnight!

Hey Katie

So glad you're settling in well in Carmel! The new place sounds lovely - post pics sometime!

And pleased your kitties are ok now. It's so tough when they get ill as they can't tell you how serious it is... we've done the paying for peace of mind thing with Millie and it's always just a relief to know she is ok. :)

cats are sensitive creatures
I think cats are very emotional and sensitive to new surroundings and change. It's hard on the pets to be taken into a new surrounding. I hope Millie treats the new surroundins and vacations well and doesn't get nervously sick.

What I think will really help you in your new surroundings is your relationship with God. What will really help you is if you plan your life around god, rather than try to fit him into your life. I know your a very spiritual person, and that this is possible for you.

And if you want some good reading material, pick up Good News about Sex and Marriage by Christopher West. Very good book, and well worth the time to read.

you're right
I need to join a church. I'm not sure if catholicism is the answer though. I need to join a faith community and do Bible study. I want to meet the right kind of friends in this new area.
