The Cat

This late morning I stepped out of work for a few hours to pick up the cat from the animal hospital. I then stopped at Petsmart and bought some of the prescription S/D food for his urinary track infection. He will probably have to take this the rest of his life. I brought him home. He has still been stooping around the apartment trying to pee. I think it will be a few days before the medicine for the urinary track infection stops this and he is on pain medication. I have to find a local vet and take him next week.

Fortunately, I can afford it.

Well, I think he's got a good chance. Our old cat had kidney stuff going on in 2006. After $580 in room and board, plus IV stuff, switched her to the kidney sparing S/D and she's done great ever since. She's 15 years old now.

I'm glad you cat is doing well after all the kidney problems. My cats are not liking their new S/D food but too bad! One cat got so mad about his new food he tipped over his water tank dish. He has done that in the pst if he gets mad.. but I'm trying to stop that behavior.

The cat who is sick is now out of pain medicine. I've been acually giving him the antibiotic for his urinary every 12 hrs instead of 24. He looks like he is getting better. I haven't noiced him stopping around my apartment too much but he did keep me up last night when he was trying to go to the potty all night. I hope he is back to normal by tomorrow and then next week I have to find a local vet.
