at about 7 am this morning i woke up to the sound of another fire alarm. but at least the sound of this alarm was less annoying, but still i was angry. we all knew it was a fake. i was so angry that i wanted to seriously slap the person responsible for the fake alarms. fire alarms should not be played with. ever hear the story of the boy who cried wolf? man what if there is a real fire.. i am disappointed. this dorm is an upperclassman dorm, fake fire alarms don't happen here, they happen in the freshman dorms, especially brant hall from what my friends tell me.

i floated back to sleep. i had lots of dreams. here are a few scenes

mid 20th century spain. there was a presidental palace, an a german spy who was very close to him. she took photos of various events in the country. one day he found her letter addressed to the place in germany, opened it and found out. then he gave the order to murder her.

scene 2

in the park, nice day, blue skys, then i see a few military style jeeps pull up. i'm seeing children playing, people hugging and holding hands
then some military people fire on these people. i see with a close up view of these people getting shot, some of them couples holding each other, getting 10+ bullets going through their bodies, seeing them rock back and forth, their expressions on their faces of complete agony and pain.

scene 3

the chase

i am chasing someone through a long dark tunnel. can't remember too much about this scene

all i can say is wow

i just spent the past 15 minutes looking and understanding the derivation of the speed of sound wave on a string of a specific Tension and linear mass density. after reading it and understanding, i'm like wow... the formula can be derived by looking at the relationship between arc string length, the angle theta, using basic physics such as the net inward force of circular motion is a certain formula, pasting, rearranging those formulas to create the speed of a sound wave on that string. this is music folks. with the speed we can dtermine frequency and pitch. the tighter the string is (larger tension) the faster the sound waves travel. this is related to the pitch of the music strings you hear such as the pitch of the guitar chords you will hear when you play a particular guitar chord.

sheesh. plus they displayed this on the valpo homepage. hey at least it's not a picture of the chapel. i have been sick of seeing pictures of the chapel on the front valpo page
