just made a pit stop at chris's apartment in valparaiso.

we are heading on 80 north to Davenport, Iowa next. we just spent the weekend in bloomington, indiana and i tried looking for postcards to no avail. i will find post cards! the only places we stopped in were gas stations, so we did not go to any other stores. we spent some time at the hotel and at indiana university for the alpha phi omega sectional conference. saturday we went to workshops, and i was very impressed with the art museum there. so anyhow more people just arrived here, so i am probably going to be pressured off the computer. lisa probably wants to check her e-mail too.

managed to get near a computer. i am in davenport, iowa right now at a brother's house.

my feet are cold now brrrrrrrrr....

the girls and i have been sharing a blanky while watching and singing along to mary poppins!!!! what a fun movie. it's supercalifragiloussuperalidouious..??? kan't spell


ok i put on a sweat shirt and an extra pair of socks, my feet are now toasty.

some people are playing board games. we have to get up early tomorrow morning. i was the first person up this morning at the hotel in bloomington, and i had the wonderful job of waking people up at 10 o clock so that we could check out by 11.

guess what i had for dinner? homemade spaghetti with grated cheese on top, and garlic bread. kudos to stacey and her dad for great dinner.

tomorrow we are going to concordia university in wisconsin!

what else do i wish to write about tonight when i can?

the car ride did not seem that long. i seemed to have found something that makes time go by fast, and i mean fast. for example, we took the toll road from valpo and went past hammond. it didn't seem like ten minutes went by. i was so absorbed in my art. i brought along a sketch pad with colored pencils and started to draw and color in romantic scenes. they're very beautiful. one is of a couple (red head girl of course hehe) sitting nude on a green cliff watching a beautiful sunset. the next picture i colored was of a couple (another red head girl of course) and her lover swimming close together in a secluded hot spring under the moonlight. the third picture, i'm not quite done. it is of a girl (red head like me) holding hands with her cowboy-like boyfriend, in a sort of Titanic like pose. Remember when rose and jack were at the front of the Titanic holding each other, that is sort of like how I drew the couple. so i am very eager to color that in. oh btw those scenes are picturing like my ideal romantic dates. =)

so what happened this morning? hmm. after we left the hotel we originally planned to stop somewhere in lafeyette for breakfast, but some people needed food now. so we made a pit stop at a gas station in bloomington, not my ideal breakfast food. i had some gem hostess doughnuts, a small package of nacho cheese filled combos and a mountain dew for the road. laterish around 4 when we arrived back in valparaiso to make a pit stop at chris's apartment, a few people drove through mcdonalds. i gave them 5 bucks and got them to bring me back something.

memoirs of what happened last night:

last night was the alpha phi omega 2002 sectional banquet, awards, and dance. i'd rather skip writing about everybody's frustrations to find the place, total confusion, but anyways we eventually got there, yeah!!! so anyways, it was in the bloomington courthouse rotunda, actually inside the courthouse! how awesome was that. the ceiling had renaissance like paintings and stained glass. very fancy. anyhow, there were three levels, and you could stand on the balacanys and peek down at everybpdy very easily. i took lots of photos. just praying they will turn out great.

the dance afterwards was the most exciting. we got bouncy, sugary high and jumped all over the floor. we even did the time warp too! however, there were a few slow songs =( sigh, and poor little me and no guy. but on the third song, one of my friends nancianna,lisa, was in the same situation, and this is very funny, she then raised her hand and finger and jumped as to advertise, i did the same hehe, and i learned how to do a simple step dance from this guy from another chapter. it was so awesome of him to show me how to dance. i want to learn how to do more dances. like ballroom dancing. valparaiso university has a ballroom dancing club and i think i will join it this next fall, definately! i am so excited. but i really wanted this particular person to ask me to dance.. so badly.. =( oh well. katie is still happy!
