an update

bored, p-od, annoyed, angry2
so I had written a nice letter with photos to send to my french pen pal. I put in the mailbox and then I had to send him this e-mail:

I put the letter for you in the mailbox today, it has nice photos in it, but as I walked back to the mail box to drop off another letter, I noticed a small warning label. It is bullshit.

This was what the warning label said:

Due to tightened security because of terrorism, this mailbox does not accept international mail, military mail, blah blah bullshit!

So I'm hoping.... that you will still get the letter.

Let me tell you how much the Bush/US policy on terrorism has changed my American liberties. Americans are not truly free, even in their home country. We cannot wear or speak freely against the IRAQ war without government opposition, we cannot "freely" fly anywhere outside the US, there are more police patroling the communities (which frightens people)
. I'm also outraged about the government anti-french sentiment. They removed french fries from many restaurants and they now call them "freedom fries", even in the white house! A lot of Americans are forgeting that France helped our poor asses win our independence from Britain. They "forget" the statue of liberty gift, they "forget" France helping us in other wars. They forget a lot of french conncections, because our dumbass president Bush tells us so. Please don't think all Americans are like our dumbass president Bush, and tell all your friends so too.

Well gotta get back to my school stuff

-Katie

I really really despise the heightened security measures, this post office policy is bullshit.

my break at last

bored, p-od, annoyed, angry2
I am drained. Katie has been a busy bee today. I just now got out of gellersen hall from a meeting with my math study/homework partner. I appreciate having someone double check my work, because I do make stupid mistakes. It is a very good experience to work with international students. I should have asked him about his harassment here in the United States because he is middle eastern, another future oil company worker studying at VU. We completed the first problem and not quite the 2nd problem. My brain fell asleep during the second problem. I was starring at the eraser/thinking board with no thoughts, just staring, I wanted to slap myself from thinking like a vegetable. A drink of water woke me up a little. After 1 1/2 hours I decided, that I just had toooo much math for one day (I'll explain that statement shortly) and that he will try and solve the 2nd problem, take a look at our work, find the algebra and trig mistakes, and I'll go ahead and read the next sections. We are going to meet tomorrow to work on the last two math problems.

Katie has had way too much math today
* reading math and doing a problem from 7:30 am til 9:45 am
* math class from 9:45 am till 11:00 am
*7:00-8:30 review session for the FE exam, topic: MATH!!!!!!!!!!!!
* 8:30 pm-9pm - study math
*9pm-10:30pm - math homework

there end my rant about math

now for my today:

I woke up after another night full of vivid dreams that made my brain feel squishy and ache with pain (as usual). I got dressed, no fancy makeup, none, and just put on my pair of sexy geeky glasses that [info]rosaferreum adores on me.
;) For breakfast I had the works, cream of wheat with brown sugar, and an egg and cheese bagel sandwich, yummmy. I read my mathematics. After breakfast I worked the first math problem assigned for homework correctly. I had my math class at 9:45am, and the professor handed back our exams today. I got an 88, weeeee! I am so proud of myself. This is supposed to be a big bad math class, but the guy across from me got like a 99. That's because he is a dork, but the other geek in front of him who also got a good grade, I suppose (this guy is a genius), he is a hotttttie. Oh he is so handsome, I've had a crush on him since my freshman year. ;) anyways, math class was enlightening but i don't remember tooo much what we did today!!!!

After my math class I came back to my dorm, aaaah, checked the e-mail, voice mail, and I sent off my letter to my french pen pal. I also completed my application for the apartment in Wheaton, Illinois, and sent it off in the mail. I cleaned the dorm too, and organized, oh I also had two veggie tacos for lunch. Yummy. Veggie tacos = bean tacos. They gave me gas!
Well didn't have much free time. I was off for Gellersen again!

I had my senior design team meeting at 12:55 pm. Fun. Good thoughts. Happy Thoughts. Flowers. Ice Cream.

I got out of gellersen at 3pm by choice, and went back to the dorm and killed 400 kcal on my dance pad for about an hour and a half and it felt great. I ate turkey for dinner! it was turkey day, and I witnessed a litle funny fight by two of the cafeteria ladies, they were joking around at each other, it was so funny. I also had a good view of the 30+ guys playing frisbee outside, a lot of them topless and in shorts, oh la la. I also got to walk by them too ;)

Once again, I was in gellersen from about 5-7 pm coding and testing the uMouse... no comment

I had the fundamentals of engineering first review session at 7pm with the math prof freshing us up on the topic of mathematics. I learned how to once again solve differential equations, do newton's root extraction, etc..
After that I studied some math until my study partner arrived, we worked on our math homework until 10:30 and here I am now, taking a short live journal break.

Hope, you've enjoyed my day, I have.

A day in your life is a gift from God, don't you forget that, no matter how bad it is.
