a deep calm cool ... in a sea of climatic storms.. has come to me... with the realization that I, ME, my work my school, my well-being, my pride in who I am and how I live, will overcome my desire to live beyond my current lifestyle and that I should stop pushing myself to impress others.

I am a rooster. I went out for chinese buffet for lunch and read the chinese diagnosis of who am I. Although I put no faith or scientific basis on this horoscope, but everything it said was absolutely true, and so true except one of the qualities. It said I was hardworking devoted to work, and that I was showy, and selfish. I am showy.

Let me give you some examples:

When my dad and step mom come to visit, I get a $25 car wash, clean my apartment to the point I take off pet hair off the sofas, spray the sofas with febreeze, spray air freshner everywhere, create an ambiance by lightning candles and putting on relaxing music dvd's. I take them to nice restaurants and nice places. I dress up in nice clothes..Oh I also groom the cats nice and spray cologne on them..

When I have a boyfriend/or friend fly in to stay with me, I usually gotta:

Bleach my toilet, tub and bathroom clean. EVERYTIME. Imagine that? I bleached my bath tub, but guess what? The cat paw print stains are sill there.. the period blood stains underneath the tub mat are still there and won't go away. My eyes hurt bad.. my lungs hurt bad... and bleach is just baaad....

I have a mountain of clothes to iron. I am only able to iron what I need on a daily basis. What I need is a few evenings free to spend an hour each to iron my clothes. Joe is coming Thursday. I am afraid I am going to have to iron clothes on a daily basis .. but I'd really like to spend part of Thursday evening talking and ironing...

Then I usually go all out on my apartment cleaning and/or adding decorations. Like with the ikea boxes I bought for organizing my junk.. I got tired of looking at the clear plastic constainers with the papers and junk showing. I wanted to organized everything into boxes that set a design ambiance and functionality to my apartment.

Things I have left to do before Joe comes:

• Put away laundry


• Iron laundry


• Finish bleaching bathroom


• Polish my furniture again


• Put away some things


• Clean kitchen floor.. again


• Change kitty litter


• get the apartment complex to fix my kitchen faucet

Things I didn't do/ or will probably not get around to:

• Iron clothes needed until Tueday


• go over the details for the wekend ahead of time, but wait until joe comes to get help with it


• bathe the cats.. they aren't smelly yet...

Did I mention that Wednesday I start class and that I probably will not get home til 10pm.
I need to leave straight after work to pick Joe up from the airport on Thursday at 6:30

for awhile i thought I was going to have a heck of a time at school today because I seemed to have misplaced my student ID. I would have had to wait in line to obtain a new id and pay for parking today. I found it in my old coat pocket in the closet. My sim god told me to look there... well.. I had a good vibe it would be there. I waved to thank-him.

This morning I woke up to what sounded a little like an electronic BEEP. I woke up at 6am, one hour before my due time.. and I am glad I did because it has given me time to do a lot of things this morning!

It's a new year... and to believe two years ago I started here... and started school. If I play my cards right I should graduate Spring 2007. And if I don't get caught in red tape along the way.. which I already have... but managed to escape. So... this semester I am taking:



ECE 553
POWER SYSTEM PLANNING
Prerequisites: ECE 419 Model development. Interchange capability, interconnections, pooling. Economic generator size and site selection. Concept of reserves, transformers, relays and circuit breakers. Reactive planning AC and DC systems are explored thoroughly from a planning standpoint. (3-0-3)

not my first class of choice... but it was offered at a more convienent schedule for me.

Its funny.. they almost NEVER say who's teaching the courses... like we would choose our classes based on the teacher.... :)

So I have no clue who is teaching it and am crossing my fingers it ain't going to be one professor that I had from a few semesters ago.

It starts to tonight and runs only Wednesday nights from 6:25 to 9:05 pm.. so I will be unavailable most Wednesday evenings now....

I so wish I could be taking an art class too.. but I want to do well in this class.. I might be in a job later in life that requires this..

Note: I did not know to whom to voice complaints to, so I went to the
adminstrative contacts. You may forward this to the proper receipents
to determine a root cause of why this happened. I am personally very
upset along with other students in the class.

To Whom It May Concern,

I will understand if the course cancellation this evening was due to a
personal emergency for the faculty member who will be teaching it. But
if it wasn't, it is an insult to the students and especially the
commuter students who paid for tolls, gas, and their personal time
because it was SHORT notice and e-mail was the only type of notice. It
would have been considerate to have placed a cancellation notice on
the door of the class room to indicate that the class was cancelled. I
personally commuted 50 minutes from lombard back and forth, did flex-
time at work, and waited in the classroom from 6:25 til 7:15 pm with
about 8 other students until we gave up and left. Are you going to
reimburse us for our time lost? Who teaches the course? We still do
not know who teaches the course. It is unprofessional of the
administration and faculty to tax students time and money by not
notifying class cancellations properly.
