I've been feeling kind of lazy, depressed?, nah sad... why ? I do not know.

This has been a busy week for me.
Yesterday I meet someone for coffee and orientation. I volunteered to help run (on a very small part-time basis) the chicago section IEEE store. I need to get out and do things, but I'm unfamilar with mail order things. What is the best way to ship a hat using the post office? What is the best way to package the hat for shipping? I'm more looking forward to going to events, meetings, and conferences, and selling items through that way..

Anyways, after the meeting I went into a small furniture store, small business owner. I bought a very nice, and I guess a bit pricey lamp. It said made in America, but after closer inspection, the electrical cord said "made in China".?.. anyways it was about $90. I also bought a small table stand to go between my lazy boy chair and sofa for $30. I was short on my luck, or it must be just one of those few and far stupid moments that I have, but when I got home and tried to unpackage the lamp shade, I broke the lamp shade.. pretty bad.. you can't tell it unless you look underneath the lamp shade or look at it in detail. But still.. grrr.. I can't believe I broke something NEW. The table stand is very pretty!! It is also very finctional. I can now sit up in my chair and place my diet coke, and remotes on it (even food!) and not have to worry about the remotes falling through the deep crevices of chairs where they go when you usually can't find them... and I can have my diet coke on the side table and not scurished between my thighs.

Oh BTW I re-arranged the furniture in my apartment a little bit, against the strong opposition of uxsquared. I wanted a small change, and was sick of the layout I had before. I absolutell 100% love my new arrangement, and now that I have a lamp in one corner, I can read books curled up on one side of the couch.

BTW, I need to do something about the couch.. it is plaid and just like I told Joe, I did not know what I was thinking when I bought it... and I am hopping when the parents visit this Sunday they can help me figure out the slip cover I got for it awhile back.

I hate the broken lamp shade. If you come over, don't look at the lamp shade or buy me a new one for my birthday. I got one of those larger shades..

I remember when I scratched my car pretty bad.. and I hated for people to look at it..

After I bought some new furniture, I met with Becky and spent like $30 on dinner. Isn't that crazy? And I didn't enjoy the food all that much either. I could only drink half of a daiquri and I ate the entire dish of chicken alfredo throughout the entire 2 1/2 hours we were there.. I also had breadsticks, and a bit of cheesecake. All this for $30.. and I got so sick after eating all that.. that instead of getting the oil change in Schaumburg like I planned to do, I went home, and ended up trying to sleep.

I ended up tossing and turning all night. I forgot to mention that I had such a lite lunch that day, that I ended up stopping by Taco Bell around 4 pm to get a steak taco and a taco supreme. Before stopping there, I thought of Dave Letterman's top Ten List

Top Ten Questions To Ask Yourself Before eating at Taco Bell?

Letterman's Top Ten

10. "Are my affairs in order?"

9. "Why is the counter kid wearing a hazmat suit?"

8. "Will the hot sauce kill the bacteria?"

7. "Is this how they poisoned that Russian spy?"

6. "Do I really want to succumb to a taco-related death?"

5. "Should I go somewhere safer for lunch like Fallujah?"

4. "Will this help me meet the recommended E.coli daily requirement?"

3. (No number 3 -- writer ate a bad chalupa)

2. "What would Kristie Alleyy do?"

1. "Wait - when was Taco Bell not tainted with E.coli?"

Hehe.. but I really ought he should have put down something like

* Am I prepared to suffer diahrehha and stomach upset tonight?
* Do I have plenty of pepto-bismol on hand?

And I *knew* that in the past, Taco Bell has given me problems. I did it anyways. No more.... No more!
I think also the buttery noodles of the chicken alredo also upset my stomach. It was a miracle I didn't have any accidents while trying to digest it all.

My stomach felt like it was ready to explode and that it was given a challenge... I thought to myself through the suffering that Katie.. tomorrow you eat oatmel.. nothing but oatmel.. and that you watch your portions!!!

I have to watch my limits....

So I called in sick for Wednesday.. I didn;t want to, but I thought it was best and that's what I have sick days for.

I slept in and woke up.. didn't eat until about 2 pm.. and had some oatmel. I did some chores around the apartment but not enough I guess. I still have a lot of stuff to do around the apartment.

Imporant thing is that around 9ish I did manage to get to work out.
