Dana is in the hospital again, this time he is spending the night, possibly. They're waiting to collect a urine sample. If they can do so in the next few hours, they'll give me a call and I can pick him up tonight. He's getting pain mediciine and antibiotics. The poor cat was stooping around the apartment trying to pee and nothing coming out except blood. I noticed the behavior a few days ago and he got worst. I didn't notice the blood until today. Correction, I noticed red spots on my bathroom rug but I did not know what it was until I saw Dana trying to pee there. Then he tried to pee on the floor and that's when I saw the red pee. :(

The vet told me that he was not blocked but the symptoms can indicate a good probaility that blockage might occur in the near future. She thinks it will be certain "crystals" and possibly bacteria. A uranlysis must be done to find out for sure what is causing him to do this. He will probably require a few weeks of antibiotics and a change of diet. Looks like the fat cats are going to go on a diet. I am not looking forward to hearing them WHINE when they don't get their fancy feast.

My cat and $160 are in the hospital. At least this time she didn't charge me $70 for the emergency office visit, she only charged me $32 for a revisit. Thanks....

After coming home from work, I packed a lite wallet, a water bottle, and my camera and headed out to walk around the apartment and to downtown Carmel. I walked around the Mohawk Hills? strip mall too. It felt like walking into the 1970s. Anyways, I walked all the way to downtown carmel. Many of the places are closed past 5 or 6pm on the weekdays except for the restaurants. I passed the Monon Trail and noticed so many people outside walking, bicycling, etc and I walked the train back to my apartment complex. Then I ate dinner.

I have to buy a bike. I'd like to be able to take back to my apartment in dad's big car..
