She's Right! I've been renting FIVE years. I wanted to buy a home last year and was STUCK because of the outrageous house prices. I hope the price bubbles pop.

My Weekend

cute, smiley, freckles, cuddly
It seems like my weekends are too short. I think I really oughta take a day off or two. Maybe in June when some deadlines are met with work, I'll take a day off on a Monday or Friday to have a 3-day weekend.

What did I do this weekend?

Went bike riding on the monon greenway. I kept thinking of how beautiful this is and that I am truly lucky and blessed to have found my life here. Riding on the trail is almost spiritual for me. All the green foilage, water streams, and interesting people make riding the trail a theraputic cure for my life. There are are sorts of interesting bikes to see, different doggies to look at, cute babies and kids, and families walking and riding the trail.

Today I decided to ride my bicycle to Clay Terrace.

I've been memorized by these sketcher commercials on TV and really wanted a pair. It's been in my subconscious for months. I parked my bike and went into the DSW Shoes. I splurged on a pair.

I ended up getting this:

SKECHERS Active shoes- Women's Casual Shoes : Bikers - Stargaze (Style: 21457)

They are very comfortable on my bare feet, plus it is easy to put on and take off. They feel great. I parted with $50 for them :(. Oh well.

This weekend I've been doing a lot other things like taking out the garbage, checking my mail, doing bills, grooming the cats, cleaning, doing dishes, making beef stew, grocery shopping, watching star trek, watching star trek enterprise, watching stargate, reading some star trek, listening to music, doing dishes, doing laundry, sleeping in, talking to family, vacuuming, cleaning the toilets.. and so on.

Tonight I made a beef stew. It was delicious.

Recipe for Beef Stew

  • 1 package of beef stew meat (uncooked)

  • 3 potatoes.. pealed, cut and quartered

  • 6 carrots, pealed and cut

  • 1 cup chopped celery

  • half an onion chopped

  • 2 tsp seasoned salt

  • 1/8 tsp pepper

  • 1/4 c flour

  • 1 can tomatoe sauce

  • 2 cups water

In a large bowl combine beef, potatoes, carrots, onions, celery, salt, pepper, tomatoe sauce, and water. Place in casserole dish in the over, COVER, on 275 degrees for about 3 hours or less. Take the flour and combine with stew to make final stew mix.
Serve and enjoy
