Daily Diary

Wednesday June 7th, 2000

It's Wednesday morning and I have to get up for work. :-( . Rise and shine, the princess was disturbed from her beauty sleep at 7am, it's work or bust. The fruit shishkibob is nicely packed and prepared (thanks to my mom) in the car along with my client's software and pager number. The morning is cool and the sun was shining I took the toll road to work, why I'm not sure, but I didn't feel like driving the fast lanes to work. At work I meet with the dean and manager, my bosses, to discuss the layout of the online graduate application. There are a few changes that I need to get done. I am in a hurry to get this done asap so I can work on other things. Around 11:45 the office secretary gave me a ride to the park in Valparaiso along with the food and wine coolers that I could not have but jokingly asked for :-). The day was still beautiful and we ate near the picnic area macaroni salad, potato salade, fried chicken, my mom's fruit dish, snack food, and vegetables. Homemade chocolate chip cookies were for dessert. The picnic was very lovely. My mom's fruit shishkibob (fruit on a stick) got the most compliments. Cheers. Back at the office I continued to work on the website. After work I drove to meet two more clients for websites. I'm really excited about finishing one up. I took the expressway home and ate my mom's homemade potatoe soup! Yummy! I watched this movie called October Sky. I highly recommend it, it can be very inspirational. I went to bed around 10 pm and didn't get up til noon the next day. The sleep was well needed.

Why women are perfect and men are not

Once upon a time, a perfect man and a perfect woman met. After a perfect courtship, they had a perfect wedding. Their life together was, of course, perfect.

One snowy, stormy Christmas Eve, this perfect couple was driving their perfect car (a Grand Caravan) along a winding road, when they noticed someone at the side of the road in distress. Being the perfect couple, they stopped to help.

There stood Santa Claus with a huge bundle of toys. Not wanting to disappoint any children on the eve of Christmas, the perfect couple loaded Santa and his toys into their vehicle. Soon they were driving along delivering the toys. Unfortunately, the driving conditions deteriorated, and the perfect couple and Santa Claus had an accident. Only one of them survived the accident.

Who was the survivor? (Scroll down for the answer.)

The perfect woman survived. She's the only one who really existed in the first place. Everyone knows there is no Santa Claus and there is no such thing as a perfect man.
