Yeah, I do believe that the Lord created man, but I have differing views on the Bible. I wrote an interesting paper about the figurative nature of the Bible and its description of creation for my astronomy class on this,

Did you know that one of the scientists who discovered DNA (his name escapes me at the moment) happens to believe something very similar, and has mentioned this in his published works. I wonder why my biology teacher neglected to mention this...

okkk! this theory must be more popular than i thought. that would bother me to know that aliens planted the human seed on Earth. I doubt they did.

Crick and Watson are the scientist whose names are generally associated with DNA. They didn't discover it, but they determined its structure, work for which they received the Nobel prize.

The problem with attributing the origin of life on earth to an extra-terrestial source is that it begs the question. How did life originate somewhere else and how did it get here?
