The Indy area went through a "thaw" from the winter storm we had last evening. My mailbox lock unfroze because the apartment maintenance was able to use their spare keys. They gave them to me. I'm able to get my mail. All is well now :)

The Perfect Problem
Tonight I walked out to check my mail. The mailbox lock was ice up because of the weather. My key got jammed. It got a little bent and I think the lock got messed up.
Problem: All my mail is in there. I left a voice mail for maintenance.
Now my concern is:
they = apartment management
A. ) Will/Can they fix the lock
B.) Will/Can they fix my only key (my dad has my spare) or provide me wth a new one?
C.) Open the mailbox to give me my mail (master lock)
D.) CHARGE ME?!!!!!

Should I be responsible for all CHARGES including an overhead fee for this problem? (Not covered by maintenance)
If I am charged $$ for this, should I take them to small claims court to recover the costs?
If I take them to small claims court, I may not be able to renew my lease next year costing me lots of $$$ to move. Should I still do this?
