After I handed in my badge and left work, I drove to Wheaton to get my car cleaned on the inside. Plus they did a basic exterior wash. This took about 3 hours. I walked around Wheaton Rice Square to spend my afternoon.
I went to Red Robin for lunch. I've always seen this place and haven't tried it. I decided today would be the day to try it.
I have never, ever eaten a bigger burger. I could only eat 3/4's of this. Well, maybe a little less. The point is, I came in hungry, and I do not know how ordinary people, other than pig-out artists, can complete their burgers!
Actually, I first had them re-do my bacon burger because I asked for medium and they made it rare. After that is was pretty good. But I will say that sirlon burgers char-broiled are the best burgers ever. Those you will only get at like barbecues.
After lunch I walked to my bank and got lots of $$ out.
I then walked back to the shopping square and went into Talbot's and got some new work clothes. They're really cute.
I then walked around the square and into a shoe store there. I found a pair of really nice and comfortable shoes.
After walking around some stoes, answering a whole lot of phone calls from my movers, I ended up at StarBucks and had a hot chocolate. Their cofee actually makes me sick, later. I relaxed and read about the NIU shooting and then got the phone call saying my car was done.
Walked back to the car wash place and picked up my car. Thanks to Joe for getting me that gift card for my birthday gift (after I bitched about not getting a card nor present)... that makes it all good.
I HAVE TO PACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dumb: I went to SuperTarget and bought eggs that expire on January 17th. Normally I look at the expiration date before I buy perishables, but tonight I was wanting to get in and out of the store quickly, so I forgot. Kind of p-od, cause they were like $2 for half dozen. What the hell happened with the price of eggs? $3.50 for a dozon eggs? also picked up some banana nut crunch, kitty litter, kitty food, diet coke, jelly, and that's it. Left all but my eggs in my car. I got to get my groceries out some time but problem is I am too lazy to walk over to the next zipcode in my parking lot to get the groceries!
Dumber: Went to White Castles to get some snack food. I haven't been there in years. I was probably there last time with my mother! Anyways, I got the chicken breast with cheese sandwich. I took one bite and decided it was nasty. I got the 3 cheese sticks. Only 3 cheese sticks??!!! who the hell only buys 3 cheese sticks for $2? Who buys a tiny small chicken breast sandwich with cheese for $2. That is literally the size, if not smaller, than KFC's chicken snackers and for twice the price. It was even smaller than Mickey D's chicken sandwich on the $1 value menu. Then I got the chicken fries. I think the batter is going to make me sick tonight. I think the chicken in the chicken fries was processed leftover chicken meat. Then there was the white castle cheeseburger. It was definately smaller than I remembered and I didn't taste any onions on it, only pickle. I took off the pickle and wondered what happened to the nasty onions that I used to have to pick off the cheeseburger cause I don't like onions. It was decent and worth its price. I think it compares with the McDonald's cheeseburger, but I am biased towards McDonalds. I finished my cheese sticks and used the marina sauce that came with the cheese sticks on the chicken fries to give them some klnd of flavor cause they were bland. I am making sure the Peptobismol is near my bed tonight. Lesson learned, do not eat white castles and do not sucumb to fast food cravings.
Regret: not taking care of the laundry and not having a secondary gym outfit. Ok, I admit, I lost my second pair of workout pants. I didn't wash my swim suit and work out clothes and the trip to the gym tonight that I had planned got put off. Not going tomorrow or monday night either because of hair dye. I can always workout on my DDR.
I ran around today doing all sorts of errands. Mostly going to Staples and Best Buy and then Office Depot.
Im looking forward to being done with the things I need for my trip next week. I feel behind schedule.

Got up around 5am to take a shower and drink some water. Laid around in bed before then because I was thirsty, hot, and countless thoughts kept running through my head like complex mathematical equations, lines of code, and my brain consistently going through the solutions. The effects of the mid-term exam crisis in my life still had not abdated. Plus thoughts of work related communications and I self-critiqued myself adding more salt to my fragile self-esteem.
Everything felt better after I drank half a water bottle of cool purified Dasani water from my fridge, took a shower, sipped two spoons of peptobesmol for my Friday night Bacon-butterburger and cheese curd sins, and laid back into bed.
I slept until 10 am and woke up healthy and refreshed. My mid-term exam was removed from my mind.
I tidied up a bit and then logged into work so that I could work on my individual development plan that should have been completed Friday. After doing the dishes and some of the laundry I decided to go out and get a pedicure. The first place I went to was too busy so I left. I ended up going to a Nails store one owened by chinese near the Trader Joes in Lombard on Roosevelt. As soon as I walked in the door, there was a seat ready for my to take a pedicure. I had no wait time and I tipped her well. She laughed as she washed the bottom of my feet and I wiggled them because it tickled. I told her this is why I only get this done twice a year! After my pedicure I went in search of the small Pet Store that used to be in that strip mall, but apparently they went out of business, which is a shame. I walked over to Trader Joes and stocked up on "bag" dinners, mostly chinese food and I happened to buy some fresh flowers, cheese cake, and other delicous items.
After trader joe's I had an inkling for something to drink and contemplated the dairy queen in the same strip mall. I walked in and did not see anything that would satisfy that drink need until I remembered I had about a half a can of diet coke left in the car and left.
I drove home and was lucky to find a space empty in front of my apartment building. I was glad that all my food from trader joe's was packed into one easy to carry brown paper bag. I grabbed my mail on the way into my building.
Did a lot of Bills, yuk, then went to the apartment office to pick up a package. My new DDR pad came in, and I must say I am not impressed. I did get what I ordered, but I thought the pad would be a little bit better. :(
What else did I do today? I made some garlic chicken pasta mix that I bought from Trader Joe's, oh was that oh so good! I cleaned a bit, but not too much. Did dishes, laundry, took out the trash, played some Sims2, studied, played with my kitties, surfed the net at my friend's wedding site. My friend Andrew whom I meet at Valpo is getting married in less than a day (in the Phillipines)!!!! I'm so so excited for them. I want to attend their ceremony in Culver, IN but am getting worried about that weekend. The professor in my class said he would give us another take home exam on the 12th of April, and if it was as difficult as it was before, I will need all the time I can get.
Anyways, I'm enjoying the night on my balcony and reading with nice outdoor lightning. The kitties love it too! Tomorrow I am supposed to visit Joe. I am looking forward to that.
